Campus Climate Listening Tour

The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is looking for participants to take part in the 2024 Campus Climate Listening Tour. The office seeks to gain a deeper understanding of the experiences of all members of the campus community, beyond survey  statistics through a series of focus groups (undergraduate, graduate, post-docs, staff, and faculty).

What is ‘campus climate’?
Defined as the current attitudes and perceptions of faculty, staff, administrators, and students concerning the level of respect, value, and embracement from the campus.

Details:
This study is an essential part of our efforts to improve our services for the campus community.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Are either undergraduate, graduate, post-doc, staff, or faculty members
  • Have been at UCSB for more than one year
  • Can provide insight and feedback on their experience with the campus climate at UCSB

Benefits of Participation:
Your feedback is crucial to expanding our understanding of the campus climate and community needs and helping inform initiatives at UCSB.

Logistics:
Participation will include a single one-hour focus group session with individuals from your constituency group (undergraduate, graduate, post-docs, and staff). Faculty will participate in a smaller group discussion.

Participants selected for this study will be compensated for their time and contribution.

Confidentiality and Privacy:
Please be assured that all information provided will be kept confidential and anonymized. Your privacy is important to us, and your identity will not be disclosed.
