About Me:

Hey y'all! My name is Evelin Estrada and I serve as the Research and Data Analyst for the office of DEI at UCSB. I am a first generation college graduate and am passionate about developing an embracing and uplifting campus for all communities and giving back by mentoring fellow first-gen students. 

Fun Facts:

I love adventures outdoors, trying new foods and thrifting. Most of my closet is thrifted!

Inland Empire, CA

Education: 

B.S Environmental Science from UC Riverside
Master of Public Policy (MPP) from UCLA        

Interests & Specialty Areas:

Interdisciplinary public policy issues (social safety programs, housing, climate), social justice, community organizing and student mentorship/professional development

What I can do for our community:

As a Research and Data Analyst, I am in charge of analyzing, and reporting office data such as the Campus Climate Survey. In my capacity, expanding and creating research studies that allow us to understand how we can better serve all campus community members.

Most importantly, my goal is to use data to highlight the experiences of students, staff, and faculty, thereby informing efficient campus policies and initiatives.
